Just A Minute - exciting news!

Exciting news!  JUST A MINUTE is coming back in September with SUE PERKINS at the helm!

I’m so happy that Sue Perkins is going to be in the chair for Just A Minute.  She’s the perfect choice.I think Sheila Hancock and I are the longest-serving players of the BBC’s longest-running panel game and, chatting about it on our canal boat last week, we both agreed that Sue would be the perfect host – and now it’s confirmed that she is.

I’ve been playing the game since 1983 and I’ve known Sue since she started playing it in 2000.  She’s an old friend and I love her.  I think she’s the perfect choice because she knows the game and loves the game and won’t stand any nonsense from Paul which is exactly what’s needed.  Also, in the Just A Minute Roll of Honour Sue is just one behind me in the list of people who have completed uninterrupted minutes, so I’m relieved she won’t be able to overtake me now.  She’s a brilliant choice and I know how much Nicholas Parsons liked Sue’s style, so I think there’ll be happiness in heaven, too.  I love playing the game and can’t wait for the new series with Sue in the chair.  On we go with the world’s greatest word game! JAM today!  JAM tomorrow!
